Two Docks For Harbouring Fleeing Jail Break Inmate in Kogi

A 43 – year old Enesi Ohinoyi and Ayuba Adeiza, 33 have been arraigned before Chief Magistrate court sitting in Lokoja for allegedly aiding, abetting and harbouring jail break inmates of Kabba Custodian Centre attack .

The Suspects were said to have conspired and did an illegal act by screening an offender and convict, Olusegun Onimisi Otaru to escape from Kabba Custodian Centre of Nigerian  Correctional Services during the last September attack .

Arraigning the suspects before the Chief Magistrate Court in Lokoja on Wednesday, the counsel to DSS urged the court through an application to remand the suspects to enable the security operatives complete their investigation .

The Counsel explained that the application is in pursuant of sections 291 and 292 of Administration of Criminal Justice of Kogi State.

He urged the court to remand, Enesi Ohinoyi and Ayuba Adeiza for their involvement in connection with the harbouring of Olusegun Onimisi Otaru who was convicted with death sentence.

He stated that the operatives of Department of State Security Service and other Security agents had on intelligence report arrested the two suspects, while the convict  has since been returned to Kabba Correctional Centre respectively.

The Chief Magistrate, A .A Umar in his ruling granted the application of the counsel to the DSS and remand the two suspects in Nigeria Correctional Centre till 20 October when the case would come up for hearing.
