UBE Constructs Smart School In Sokoto

…….to be commissioned by the state government

Arrangements have reached advance stage for the official commissioning of UBE Model Smart School constructed in the state by the Universal Basic Education Commission UBEC.

The school will be handed over to the State Universal Basic Education Board.

Speaking while leading a team of Directors of the Board to the school located in the premises of Sultan Abubakar College Sokoto, Permanent Secretary of the Board Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i Ibrahim commended the foresight of UBEC for constructing such gigantic project in Sokoto state.

Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i who is also the oveseer of the Board explained that the school will no doubt compliment the state government’s commitment towardst improving basic education in the state.

Briefing the Board team, the site engineer of the construction firm handling the project, Ojenuale Abduljalil said the school consist of Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Primary and JSS sections.

Other sections according to him include vocational, Science and Recording Studios, laboratories as well as E-Library,Water system, Football pitch and Volleyball Court among others.

The SUBEB team was also at Yakubu Mu’azu Model Science Primary School to inspect the ongoing renovation of hostel burnt by fire some months ago.

Speaking shortly after going round the renovation work the SUBEB Overseer Alhaji Ahmed Rufa’i commended the contractor Alhaji Mu’azu Zabira for executing quality work.

He also appreciated the speed of the work as well as a borehole and gully erosion control being constructed by the contractor as corporate social responsibility.

The SUBEB Overseer was accompanied on the inspection visit by all the Permanent Members and Directors of the Board.
