Victims Reveal Harrowing Experiences: Late TB Joshua Accused of Torture and Control

In a video circulating online, victims of the late Pastor Temitope Joshua, a renowned clergyman, have come forward to share their disturbing experiences under his leadership. Speaking to BBC, these victims recounted instances of physical abuse, highlighting how Pastor Joshua would slap them for minor reasons, demonstrating a hot-tempered demeanor.

One victim revealed the requirement to seek the pastor’s permission even for basic needs such as using the restroom. Another victim, who served as a publisher for Pastor Joshua, described being slapped for not publishing an article on time. The victims collectively portrayed the late clergyman as someone seeking extensive control, asserting that he claimed it was an honor to be slapped by him as he believed he was next to Jesus.

Detailing the atmosphere within the church, victims spoke of the late pastor’s massive temper, emphasizing that failure to comply would result in severe consequences, including physical abuse. The victims expressed a shared sentiment of being manipulated and silenced during their time under Pastor Joshua’s leadership.

Earlier reports indicated that the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) planned to release a three-part investigative documentary on the late clergyman, uncovering potential atrocities and sexual crimes committed. The documentary, featuring interviews with church members and workers from the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), is set to shed light on alleged exploitative practices and manipulation within the church. The first installment is scheduled for release on January 8.

Notably, the documentary is expected to reveal how the church shielded its congregation from the truth, exposing survivors’ accounts of exploitation, manipulation, and silencing during their association with the late pastor.

Recalling a previous revelation by actor Jim Iyke, who claimed Pastor TB Joshua healed his sick mother in 2013, the recent disclosures underscore a more complex and controversial dimension to the late clergyman’s legacy.
