Wizkid Celebrates New Single Release at Packed Paris Night Club

By  Milcah   Tanimu

Nigerian megastar Wizkid hosted a spectacular release party for his upcoming single, “Piece of My Heart,” featuring Brent Faiyaz, at a Paris night club on September 29, 2024. The venue packed with fans and associates eager to celebrate alongside the Grammy-winning artist.

Wizkid plans to drop the upcoming collaboration later in October, kicking off his highly anticipated sixth album, Morayo. This album serves as a tribute to his late mother, who passed away in 2023, and Wizkid has called it his best work yet.

The release party coincided with the 10th anniversary of his sophomore album, Ayo, which includes the iconic hit “Ojuelelegba.” Fans took the opportunity to pay homage to both the album and the song that played a significant role in popularizing Nigerian music globally.

Wizkid’s new single promises to offer fans a glimpse of what to expect from the Morayo era, showcasing his unique sound and artistry. Brent Faiyaz joins this collaboration as his second partnership with a Nigerian artist, following his feature on Tems’ successful EP, If Orange Was A Place.

As anticipation builds for the release of Morayo, Wizkid continues to solidify his position as a leading figure in the global music scene.
