Simon Bako Lalong has congratulated elder statesman and former Chairman of Shendam Local Government Area, Miskoom Sebastine Sambo Alkali, on his 70th birthday.
In a statement, Lalong described Alkali as a grassroots politician and experienced public servant whose contributions to the development of Shendam and Plateau State remain significant.
The senator said the celebrant belonged to a generation of leaders who strengthened grassroots administration through commitment to public service and community welfare.
According to Lalong, Alkali served the people of Shendam with dedication and integrity, earning respect across political, traditional and social circles.
He also commended the former council chairman for promoting peace, unity and development during his years in public service. Lalong noted that Alkali’s leadership qualities and experience continue to serve as an inspiration to younger generations.
The senator prayed for continued good health and more years of fulfilment for the celebrant as he marks the milestone age of 70.
