By Jabiru Hassan

The Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Dr. Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, has lauded Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his dynamic and impactful governance, describing him as a blessing to Kano State. In an exclusive interview, Dr. Dungurawa highlighted the achievements of the NNPP administration and its dedication to the development of the state.

Performance Under Governor Yusuf

Dr. Dungurawa expressed satisfaction with Governor Yusuf’s performance, stating that his administration has brought significant developmental projects to the state. “Our governor is working tirelessly to build Kano into a model state, despite the challenges of modern democratic governance,” he said. He credited the success to the NNPP’s robust manifesto, which aligns with the needs of the people.

While outlining the government’s accomplishments, Dr. Dungurawa emphasized the prioritization of education. He noted that the 2025 budget allocated the largest share to education, reflecting the administration’s focus on the sector. Scholarships, both domestic and international, have been awarded to underprivileged students, enabling them to gain quality education.

He also commended the administration’s strides in security, healthcare, and economic empowerment. “Governor Yusuf has provided vehicles and security apparatus to enhance safety across rural and urban areas. Additionally, healthcare facilities have been rehabilitated, ensuring quality healthcare services are accessible to all,” he said.

The Chairman highlighted the governor’s efforts to support youth and women through skills acquisition programs and financial aid. “Women have received N50,000 as startup capital for trades, transforming their economic status,” he added.

Unity Within NNPP

Dr. Dungurawa credited the party’s unity and success to its visionary leader, Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, whose steadfast leadership has kept the NNPP focused on delivering meaningful progress. “Our party is united across the nation due to its people-centered manifesto,” he said.

Message to Kano Residents

Dr. Dungurawa urged Kano residents to continue supporting Governor Yusuf’s administration. “Together, we can restore Kano’s glory and achieve remarkable progress under the NNPP government,” he concluded.
