Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja to attend the 2024 annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. President Bola Tinubu appointed Shettima to represent Nigeria at the prestigious event, marking the seventh foreign destination for the Vice President in his seven months in office. Shettima, alongside global leaders, will engage in discussions on critical socio-economic and development issues during the week-long forum. His agenda includes participating in the launch of the Private Sector Action Plan for the African Continental Free Trade Area and holding high-level discussions with influential figures. Shettima will also chair a roundtable dialogue on Nigeria’s economic path and contribute to sessions dedicated to global energy transition.
