Renowned Ghanaian Actor, Vincent McCauley, Passes Away After Surgery

Ghana mourns the loss of acclaimed actor Vincent McCauley, who departed on Monday, January 15, 2024, following surgery for a brain tumor in South Africa.

The family, in a statement released on Friday, expressed gratitude for Vincent’s “glorious magnificent transition” into the presence of God Almighty.

Vincent McCauley, Jr., who served as an administrator at Soul Clinic International School, was not only a beloved family member but also an ardent actor celebrated for his roles in various films and TV productions. Notably, he gained widespread recognition for portraying ‘Max’ in the popular series ‘Things We Do For Love.’

The family’s statement expressed deep sorrow over the void left by Vincent’s departure, acknowledging the tremendous love and care he received from those who knew him.

Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari, reacting to the news on her social media account, described it as a “hard pill” for her to swallow. She reminisced about meeting Vincent on the set of ‘Who owns the city’ approximately 14 years ago, recalling his radiant personality, bubbly nature, and the sparkle in his eyes whenever he mentioned her name.

Vincent McCauley leaves behind a legacy of contributions to various movie projects, including notable titles such as ‘You Only Live Once’ (YOLO), Games People Play, Fortune Island, Office Palava, Living With Trisha: House of Secrets, and The Idiot and I.

He is survived by his wife, whom he married in 2017. The Ghanaian entertainment industry and fans worldwide mourn the loss of this talented actor, remembering him for his vibrant performances and significant contributions to the world of cinema.
