Mikel and Drogba Team Up to Convince Osimhen to Join Chelsea

Former Chelsea star Mikel Obi has made a strong commitment to helping his fellow Nigerian, Victor Osimhen, make a move to Stamford Bridge. In a recent video posted on X, Mikel revealed that Chelsea legend Didier Drogba is also in discussions with the Napoli striker to persuade him to join the London club.

Osimhen’s future is under intense scrutiny as the summer transfer window nears its end, with speculation swirling around a potential switch to Chelsea. The striker, who has expressed a desire to leave Napoli, is a top target for Chelsea, who might see Romelu Lukaku move in the opposite direction as part of the deal.

Despite a busy transfer period already, with Chelsea securing players like Pedro Neto and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, the club remains eager to bolster their squad further, and Osimhen is high on their list for the upcoming season.

Mikel expressed his optimism about Osimhen’s potential impact at Chelsea, likening him to Erling Haaland and emphasizing his goal-scoring abilities. He and Drogba are both working hard to ensure that the 25-year-old striker prioritizes Chelsea, amidst competition from other top European clubs and a significant €130 million price tag.

With other suitors like PSG stepping back, Chelsea appears to be the leading contender in the race to secure Osimhen’s signature.
