Flood: Borno Announces Relief Fund, Urges Donations for Victims

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

The Borno State government has established a dedicated relief fund to provide urgent assistance to victims of recent flooding in Maiduguri and surrounding areas.

The government is seeking support from citizens, organizations, and international partners to ease the suffering of flood victims and aid in their recovery.

In a statement released on Friday by Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor, it was revealed that the flooding caused significant destruction, displaced families, and damaged critical infrastructure.

Amid this humanitarian crisis, the Borno State government is calling on individuals and groups to contribute to the newly created flood relief account.

The account, titled “Borno St. Flood Disaster Relief,” is held at Zenith Bank with account number 1313556361, according to the statement.
