The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has reiterated the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) dedication to national security. He pledged to intensify efforts against terrorism and banditry.
Speaking at the NAF Administration Personnel Seminar in Abuja on Wednesday, Abubakar stressed the need for improved security. The event, themed “Optimising Contemporary Human Resources to Enhance Ongoing Transformation Initiatives of the NAF,” aims to boost personnel efficiency.
Abubakar declared that air power would be used to enforce justice against criminals hiding in ungoverned spaces.
“We will fight, fix, and strike all those who take up arms against the state. I will not relax until Nigeria is safe for all,” he stated.
He thanked President Bola Tinubu for his support. However, he noted internal challenges, including Absence Without Leave (AWOL), drug abuse, and social media influence, which affect discipline.
The seminar, he said, offers a chance to assess NAF’s strategies and find innovative solutions. He urged participants to propose practical ideas to improve operations.
To modernize processes, Abubakar highlighted plans to computerize personnel management, upgrade accommodation systems, and integrate data analytics for manpower forecasting. He emphasized that digital tools would improve decision-making, optimize resources, and enhance efficiency.
