Governor Ahmad Aliyu Soko to has called on newly appointed security chiefs to do everything possible to end banditry and other criminal activities in Sokoto State.
Speaking at the Government House in Sokoto, the governor emphasized the state government’s achievements in tackling insecurity and urged the new security leadership to intensify efforts in restoring peace.
Governor Aliyu described the people of Sokoto as peace-loving and law-abiding, despite enduring over a decade of banditry. He stressed that the state government remains committed to working with security agencies to eradicate criminal activities and restore stability.
“Despite the challenges, Sokoto remains a symbol of peace, and our people continue to support every effort towards lasting security,” Aliyu stated.
In response, the newly appointed security chiefs commended Governor Aliyu’s efforts in addressing security threats and implementing development projects across the state.
They assured the governor of their commitment to working closely with the state government to achieve lasting peace and security in Sokoto.
