Victor Osimhen Sets New Galatasaray Record With Brilliant Brace Against Bodø/Glimt

Victor Osimhen continued his sensational European form on Wednesday night, rewriting Galatasaray’s history books with a record-breaking display in their UEFA Champions League clash against Bodø/Glimt.

The Nigerian striker scored twice in the first half at Rams Park, becoming the first Galatasaray player ever to find the net in seven consecutive European matches—surpassing Burak Yilmaz’s long-standing record of six games set in 2012.

Osimhen opened the scoring just three minutes into the game before doubling the lead in the 33rd minute with another clinical finish. His brace not only secured a crucial Champions League victory but also cemented his status as one of the club’s most prolific European performers.

The 26-year-old’s scoring run began during last season’s Europa League campaign, where he found the back of the net against Tottenham Hotspur, Dynamo Kyiv, Ajax, and AZ Alkmaar. He has carried that momentum into this season, scoring against Liverpool before his double against Bodø/Glimt.

Since joining Galatasaray, Osimhen has become the driving force of Okan Buruk’s attack—his pace, power, and ruthless finishing making him a fan favourite and one of Europe’s most feared strikers.

As of the time of this report, Galatasaray were leading Bodø/Glimt 3–1 with less than eight minutes remaining in regular time.
