The Hazras Charity Foundation, a delivery partner of Muslins Aid Australia (MAA), has successfully concluded the distribution of educational materials to pupils and students across selected local government areas in Kano State, Nigeria. The initiative, aimed at promoting access to quality education, will now extend to Jigawa State beginning Monday, October 27, 2025.

The well-coordinated and transparent distribution exercise was led by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees Chairlady, Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso, and the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullateef Abdulkadir. Beneficiaries in Kano State included pupils and students from Gwale, Kumbotso, Wudil, Ungogo, Dambatta, and Gezawa local government areas.

According to the Foundation, the next phase of the programme will cover Dutse, Jahun, and Birnin Kudu local government areas in Jigawa State. The initiative forms part of Hazras Charity Foundation’s broader mission to support vulnerable children through educational empowerment and social development.

Speaking at the conclusion of the distribution in Kano, several parents and guardians praised the effort, describing it as a timely intervention that will motivate children to pursue learning more effectively. They also commended the Foundation for ensuring fairness and transparency in the selection of beneficiaries.

“We call on other foundations to emulate Hazras Charity Foundation and extend similar support to vulnerable children,” a parent remarked. “This programme has shown true commitment to improving education at the grassroots.”

In their joint statement, Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso and Dr. Abdullateef Abdulkadir expressed satisfaction with the successful completion of the Kano phase. They described the process as peaceful, well-organized, and impactful.

They also acknowledged the cooperation of the Kano State Government, the Ministry of Budget and Planning, the Ministry of Education, and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) for their roles in facilitating the programme’s smooth implementation.

“We appreciate the continuous support of the Kano State Government and our partners, which has made this educational outreach a great success,” Dr. Abdulkadir stated. “Our next goal is to ensure the same level of transparency and impact as we proceed to Jigawa State.”

The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to advancing educational development and supporting disadvantaged communities across northern Nigeria. By providing learning materials to schoolchildren, the organisation aims to bridge educational gaps and strengthen literacy at the foundational level.

The Hazras Charity Foundation continues to receive recognition for its collaborative efforts with Muslins Aid Australia (MAA) in promoting inclusive education and empowering children through sustainable humanitarian initiatives.
