Kano Assembly Mourns Gezawa Accident, Applauds Gov. Yusuf for Free Medical Care to Survivors

The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has expressed shock and sympathy with the families of victims involved in the tragic road accident that occurred in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Speaker’s spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai.

Falgore described the ghastly accident, which took place at Kwanar Barde, as a great loss not only to the affected families but also to the entire people of Kano State.

He further commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his prompt response to the incident, particularly the directive granting free medical treatment to survivors of the accident. According to the Speaker, the governor’s action reflects responsible leadership anchored on social justice, fairness and the provision of essential social services.

The Speaker noted that the timely intervention by the state government was highly commendable and demonstrated genuine concern for the welfare of the people.

“It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that, on behalf of the Kano State House of Assembly, I extend heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Kano State Government and the people of Kano State,” Falgore said.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcomings and grant them eternal rest.
