Tonto Dike is not our Peace Ambassador – NCPC

Ugar Ukandi Odey, Jos

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), has denied that the Commission appointed Tonto Dikeh, Founder of Tonto Dikeh Foundation, as its Peace Ambassador.

In a press statement over the weekend, Executive Secretary of the Commission, Rev Yakubu Pam said Tonto Dikeh only paid a courtesy visit to the management of the Commission during which she expressed her willingness to partner with the Commission in the area of peace building and peaceful coexistence across the country.

He said: “The Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) wishes to state in categorical terms that it did not appoint King Tonto Dikeh as Peace Ambassador. Dikeh, a founder of Tonto Dikeh Foundation, only visited the Commission and expressed her willingness and interest in partnering with the Commission in the area of peacebuilding”
She equally cashed in on the visit to commend the NCPC boss for his positive and relentless peace initiatives across the country.
