The residents of Zaura, Zangon Mata, Damfamin Tofa and other communities has called on the Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to complete the abandoned road project that was awarded by the H&M construction company.
Some of the people who spoke to Daybreak news disclosed that the road is one of the most important capital projects that would enable the people of the area to reap the dividends of democracy under the Ganduje administration, where they reminded the governor that the road is his own and he should try his best to ensure that it is hundred percent complete.
According to Malam Musa Tauraro, the road project if completed would link Kwanar Zaura-Yar Gudau-Zaura-Kirya-Zangon Mata-Damfamin Tofa-Ganduje and join Kano-Daura highway would benefits quite a number of villages and communities but the contractors has since abandoned the works despite that the remaining phase of work is not up to 30% to be completed.
Similarly, Alhaji Sani Kirya, a business man and current affairs commentator called on the Kano state Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to do something urgent for the completion of the road especially when the remaining works can be done in few weeks, where he added that ” the road is important to the people of the area, and the governor himself is a beneficiary of the projects whose Town is situated along the road”. He lamented.
