OPC leader, Olojongbodu condemns killing of innocent souls in Sokoto

The Deputy National President of the Oodua Peoples’ Congress, OPC, Chief Leke Akintayo Olojongbodu has condemned in totality the attack on Goronyo weekly market that led to the brutal killing of many innocent souls by bandits on Sunday.

The leader of Dr Friedrick Fasheun’s led OPC group made this condemnation in a press statement issued and made available to journalists in Osogbo the Osun State capital on Tuesday.

It will be recalled that on Sunday, the bandits, numbering about 200, raided the Goronyo weekly market and killed many people there.

Olojongbodu who described reinforcement of more troops as the antidote to curtail the incessant bandits’ attacks in the north said every citizens should join hands with the government and security agents in fighting insurgency.

He also called on the people of the country to continue to pray to the Almighty God for Him to wade in.

The OPC leader prayed for the family of the deceased that Allah will give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
