*Adedoyin Urge Politicians To Shun Hate Speeches…

And Charge Kwarans To Embrace Next Level In 2019 Elections

By Kayode Abdulazeez

A Former Commissioner of Information and Kwara State Coordinator for the National Committee of Buhari Support Groups (NCBSG), Oloriewe Raheem Adedoyin has urged Politicians to shun hate speeches that can incite violence during this electioneering period. And also called on the good people of Kwara state to move to the Next Level with President Muhammed Buhari’s in 2019 elections.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart made this call on Friday, at the 5th Public Lecture and Award ceremony organised by an online news platform ‘Kwara Tabloid’ at Kwara Hotel, Ilorin.

In his speech, Adedoyin urged Nigerians and Kwarans to avoid statements and utterances that can truncate the peace which the state has been enjoying for long ahead of the 2019 general elections.

“We share the same bond and we must not allow politics to divide us. We all know where we are going in Kwara State. Kwara needs to move to the Next Level.”

Adedoyin commended the brain behind Kwara Tabloid Forum, Mr Tunde Bakare for giving citizens of the state a strong platform that is uniting Kwarans irrespective of political affiliation, religion, tribe and societal class and at the same time, advocating for the good governance Kwarans truly deserve. He noted that Kwara Tabloid award is an avenue for Kwarans to appreciate their own product.

“In the past, we celebrate others in Kwara while others celebrate us outside the state but now the situation has changed with Kwara Tabloid Awards. We are now celebrating ourselves.” Adedoyin explained.

In his keynote address, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Issa Onilu decried the dearth of infrastructural development in Kwara North, noting that the agrarian nature of the zone has not been fully exploited.

Mallam Issa Onilu who was represented by Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf, blamed the challenges people of the zone are facing on bad leadership. He noted that Kwara State government wasted over #10billion on Shonga farms without anything to show for it.

Other dignitaries who attended the programme were: Alhaji Tajudeen Audu, Former APC governorship aspirant; Dr. Yinka Ajia, Governorship candidate of ANRP; Mr. Tunde Ashaolu, Kwara PDP Spokesman; Alhaji Rasaq Gidado, former Chief Press Secretary in the state; Pastor Sam Aweda, Prof. Chris Odetunde, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf, Dr. Bashir, Dr. Olaosebikan and Dr. Afolabi amongst others.
