BREAKING: NAF Helicopter Crashes in Kaduna

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) helicopter crashed early Monday morning in Tami village, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred around 5:00 am, causing significant alarm among local residents.

The helicopter, which was on a routine operational flight, encountered technical difficulties that led to the crash. However, the pilot successfully executed emergency protocols, ensuring his survival.

Residents at the scene confirmed that the pilot emerged from the wreckage largely unscathed.

“We heard a loud noise and rushed to the scene. We were surprised and relieved to see the pilot alive,” said a local villager who witnessed the crash.

Villagers quickly gathered at the crash site, offering assistance and expressing relief that no lives were lost.

A team of military officers from the Nigerian Air Force arrived promptly to secure the area and conduct an initial investigation. They cordoned off the crash site to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of the villagers. Preliminary assessments to determine the cause of the crash have begun, though the cause remains unknown at this time.

As of the time of filing this report, the Nigerian Air Force has not released an official statement regarding the incident, but an investigation is expected to be launched to ascertain the factors leading to the crash.
