By Muhammad Ibrahim, Sokoto

Hon. Bashir Attahiru, the Cashier of the Ministry for Local Government in Sokoto State, has once again shown his strong commitment to supporting Sokoto United FC.

On Wednesday, Hon. Bashir visited the team’s training ground at the Giginya Memorial Stadium in Sokoto, where he congratulated the players on their recent victory against Zamfara United FC. He pledged to donate 500,000 Naira every month to the team, with an additional 500,000 Naira awarded for each win.

This generous offer follows Attahiru’s previous donation of 1 million Naira, with 500,000 Naira given during a training session and another 500,000 Naira in recognition of their victory against Zamfara United FC.

The Media Officer of the Club, AbdulSalam Ibrahim Imam, confirmed that Sokoto United FC will face Barau FC on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Dambatta Stadium in Kano State. With Attahiru’s ongoing support, the team is expected to be highly motivated to secure a victory.

Reacting to the donation, the Captain of Sokoto United FC, Murtala Amadu Telele, expressed deep gratitude: “We are incredibly thankful to Bashir Attahiru ‘Black’ for his unwavering support and generosity toward Sokoto United FC. We promise to repay his kindness with victories on the pitch!”
