The recent call-up of Hatayaspor midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, for the upcoming international friendly matches against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique, has generated excitement among fans.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) released the list of invited players submitted by Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro, and the 22-year-old Dele-Bashiru is the only new face in the squad.

Nigeria is scheduled to face the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia in Portimão, Portugal on Friday, October 13, followed by a clash with Mozambique in the same city three days later.

Dele-Bashiru has been in impressive form for his Turkish club, scoring four goals and providing two assists in seven matches. Fans are hopeful that his inclusion in the squad can provide a boost to the Eagles’ midfield.

One fan, Moolah, expressed optimism about Dele-Bashiru’s potential impact on the team, saying, “Great to see Fisayo Dele-Bashiru make the list. He could be the tonic we need in that midfield.”

Another fan named Martins praised the addition of Dele-Bashiru, describing him as a “very good, attacking, creative midfielder” and a “goal-scoring midfielder.”

Emeka Chi highlighted the need for creative midfielders in the team and believed that Dele-Bashiru’s inclusion would add quality to the squad.

Dele-Bashiru is expected to join the Super Eagles next week when the players gather in Faro, Portugal on Tuesday, October 10, ahead of the friendly matches.
