Edo Governor-Elect Okpebholo Appoints Fred Itua as Chief Press Secretary

Edo State’s Governor-Elect, Monday Okpebholo, has announced his first appointment ahead of his official inauguration. Fred Itua, a seasoned journalist, has been appointed as the Chief Press Secretary to the governor.

The appointment was made just a day before Okpebholo is set to assume office on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Itua is expected to begin his role immediately following the governor’s swearing-in ceremony.

Fred Itua is a respected journalist with a wealth of experience. He previously served as the Assistant Political Editor at The Sun newspaper.

Okpebholo will take office from the outgoing Governor, Godwin Obaseki, marking the beginning of his leadership in the state.
