Falconets Striker Secures Transfer to Turkish Club

Highly talented Nigerian footballer, Taiwo Lawal, has inked a two-year contract with Atasehir Belediyespor, a prominent team in the Turkish Women’s League. This move signals the end of her association with her former club, Robo Queens.

Taiwo Lawal’s football journey began with Aseyori Queens before she gained recognition and prominence with Robo Queens. She notably demonstrated her goal-scoring prowess by claiming the Golden Boot Award at the 2022 Betsy Obaseki Women’s Cup, where she impressively netted six goals during the tournament.

Taking to her social media platform, Taiwo Lawal, a striking sensation, officially announced her transfer with enthusiasm and excitement about commencing this new chapter in her career. In her statement, she said, “I’m thrilled to announce my official move to Atasehir Belediyespor in the Turkish Super Lig. I am eager to embark on the next phase of my career in Turkey.”

While bidding farewell to her former team, Robo Queens, Lawal expressed her gratitude, saying, “I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to FC Robo Queens for the moments we shared. I gained invaluable experiences at the club, and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors. We created wonderful memories together, and those memories will always be cherished.”

Taiwo Lawal has also gained international experience by representing Nigeria at the U-17 and U-20 levels. Her transition to Atasehir Belediyespor signifies her first professional venture abroad, and she is undoubtedly determined to leave her mark in Turkish women’s football.
