By   Milcah   Tanimu

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing good governance and resisting any form of blackmail. Speaking during the 64th Nigerian Independence Day celebration in Port Harcourt, Fubara assured citizens that he would continue to prioritize projects that enhance peace, development, and revenue growth for the state.

Governor Fubara lauded President Bola Tinubu for his bold economic reforms aimed at addressing past structural issues and ensuring sustainable growth. He also praised Nigeria’s founding fathers for their vision of a united and just nation, despite current challenges.

Fubara acknowledged the hardships many Nigerians face due to economic difficulties but encouraged citizens to remain optimistic and celebrate the nation’s strengths. He stressed the importance of working collectively to overcome security issues and corruption that have hindered progress.

He further promised to complete ongoing infrastructure projects, including the Port Harcourt Ring Road and the N225 billion Trans-Kalabari Road, while improving healthcare, education, and job creation. Fubara also reassured residents that his administration would continue to work closely with the Federal Government to tackle insecurity and safeguard the interests of Rivers State.
