Kano Speaker Mourns The Death Of The Oldest Kingmaker, Galadiman Kano, Abbas Sunusi.

The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, has expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of Alhaji Abbas Sunusi, the oldest Kingmaker, who passed away in Kano at the age of 91 after a brief illness.

This message was conveyed in a statement issued by the spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, on Wednesday. On behalf of the Kano State House of Assembly, Falgore joined Nigerians in extending deep sympathy to the Kano State royal family over the passing of Alhaji Abbas Sunusi. He remarked,

“We are indeed saddened by this irreplaceable loss. We pray especially for his family, the Kano State Government, and the entire people of Kano State during this difficult period of grief.

May Allah comfort you, grant you the grace to bear this loss, and provide the strength to remain steadfast.” Furthermore, Falgore noted, “Alhaji Abbas Sunusi was a wonderful man who touched the lives of many and was cherished by all.” He extended heartfelt prayers to the family.

Alhaji Abbas Sunusi was a key figure in the Kano Emirate Council, serving as Wanban Kano. He is survived by his wives, 35 children, and grandchildren, including Abdullahi Abbas, the current Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Kano State
