Mr. Bababode Osunkoya is a distinguished professional boasting over thirty years of extensive experience across diverse sectors, including banking, accounting, asset leasing, and consulting. Currently serving as the Managing Partner at Abax-OOSA Professionals (Chartered Accountants), his remarkable journey in the industry has been marked by notable achievements and leadership roles.
Before assuming his current role, Mr. Osunkoya served as the Principal Partner of Bababode Osunkoya & Co from 1994 to 2007. His early career began in 1984 when he joined Premier Hotel Limited, Ibadan, for his National Youth Service Corp programme. Subsequently, in 1985, he transitioned to Z.O. Ososanya & Co. (Chartered Accountants), where he ascended to the position of Assistant Audit Manager by 1988.
With an ever-expanding career, Mr. Osunkoya moved to Abacus Merchant Bank Limited in 1989, where he worked until 1993 and rose to the level of a manager. He further demonstrated his managerial prowess as a General Manager at Konsuma Credit Limited from 1993 to 1995, overseeing the daily administrative and operational activities of the asset leasing and credit finance company.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Osunkoya holds positions on the boards of several distinguished organizations, including Haggai Mortgage Bank Limited, Richardson Oil and Gas Limited, Sedoso Agro Allied Company Limited, and Guiding Light Assembly. Additionally, he contributes as an Executive Committee member of the Association of Reporting Accountants and Auditors in the Capital Market.
Mr. Osunkoya’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, complemented by his status as a certified forensic accountant. He is also recognized as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
