Angry voters at the Lugbe Car Wash in Abuja along Airport Road, this morning condemned the late arrival of election materials at the polling unit.

Most of the voters complained that they had turned out early for accreditation and voting but were shocked that officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived with materials at 1.30pm thereby making them to wait for hours.

Sani Salihu, Abdullahi Ahmed and Remi John expressed outburst of annoyance and disappointment over the delay arrival of the voting materials, said that the development was aimed at frustrating their efforts to cast their vote early and return home.

Abdullahi Ahmed told this reporter, “The general election is today so why should electoral materials arrive late in a polling unit?”

“It does not show a sense of responsibility by INEC, keeping us waiting here since in the morning is very annoying and does not show any signs INEC is responsible stirring anger” he said.

Some of the INEC officials on ground refused to speak with journalists, “we are not in position to speak to journalists on any issue here”.
