**NBBF Reconsiders Withdrawal of D’Tigers from 2025 AfroBasket**

By Daniel Edu

The Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF) has reversed its earlier decision to withdraw the national basketball team, D’Tigers, from the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket qualifiers due to a lack of funds. The NBBF is now making last-minute efforts to ensure the team’s participation in the tournament scheduled to take place from February 23 to 25 in Tunisia and Egypt. The initial withdrawal was attributed to financial challenges faced by the federation, but there are now renewed efforts to finalize a roster and gather funds for D’Tigers to compete in the AfroBasket qualifiers.
