Nollywood Actor Lateef Adedimeji to Receive Honorary ‘Doctor of Philosophy’ Degree from Estam University

In a triumphant year for Nollywood star Lateef Adedimeji, he is poised to receive an honorary Doctorate degree. Announcing the milestone on his Instagram page, Estam University will confer upon Lateef the title of Doctor of Philosophy in Arts and Culture.

The university highlights the award as a recognition of his outstanding talent and remarkable contributions to the movie industry, celebrating his unwavering commitment to the art of storytelling within Nigerian cinema.

“Lateef Adedimeji is a Nigerian Actor and Filmmaker who is known for his exceptional prowess in the realm of Nigerian cinema and his unwavering commitment to the art of storytelling. On the 25th of November, 2023, he will be awarded an Honoris Causa Degree, Doctor of Philosophy in Arts and Culture by the prestigious Estam University. We look forward to celebrating this exceptional talent and his tremendous achievement in the movie industry.”

Previously, Lateef Adedimeji expressed his excitement for receiving an award for his role in Femi Adebayo’s movie, Jagun Jagun. He shared a clip from the ceremony on his Instagram, emphasizing that being honored alongside Nollywood legends was a career highlight.

This recognition follows his international acclaim in Vienna, Austria, where he received an award for his role in the movie Ayinla. His wife, Mo Bimpe, expressed pride in his accomplishments, applauding him for his humility and consistent achievements.

Adding to his list of accolades, Lateef Adedimeji was exuberant about winning the Best African Male Actor award from the United States of America alongside Etinosa Idemudia and Ramsey Nouah.
