Stephen Keshi Stadium to Host BIPOGA Football Final as Zone 10 Face Zone 4

The final of the male football event at the 15th Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA), tagged Asaba 2026, will be played on Saturday at the main bowl of the Stephen Keshi International Stadium in Asaba, Delta State.

Zone 10 (Sokoto) will square off against Zone 4 (Lokoja) after both sides emerged victorious in their respective semifinal clashes. Zone 10 edged past Zone 2 with a 1–0 win to secure a place in the final, while Zone 4 defeated Zone 8 to book their ticket for the title decider.

At the preliminary stage, the teams were divided into two groups of four. Group A comprised Zones 3, 4, 5 and 10, while Group B featured Zones 1, 2, 8 and 15. The group matches were played at St. Patrick’s College pitches to determine the top contenders for the knockout stage.

In Group A, Zone 10 began their campaign with a 3–1 victory over Zone 4, while Zone 3 defeated Zone 5 by a 3–0 margin in the opening fixtures. Zone 10 later played out a 1–1 draw with Zone 3, and Zone 4 secured a narrow 1–0 win over Zone 5 to remain in contention.

Group B produced closely contested matches. Zone 15 and Zone 2 played out a 2–2 draw in their opener, while Zone 1 also settled for a 2–2 draw against Zone 8. In subsequent fixtures, Zone 1 edged Zone 2 by 2–1 to gain an advantage in the group, and Zone 8 recorded a 2–0 victory over Zone 15.

The semifinal pairings saw Zone 10 take on Zone 2, while Zone 4 faced Zone 8. After intense encounters, Zone 10 and Zone 4 emerged winners to set up the much-anticipated final.

Saturday’s clash at the Stephen Keshi International Stadium is expected to draw a large crowd as both teams battle for football glory at the ongoing BIPOGA 2026 in Asaba.
