Royal fathers laud Gov. Emmanuel on judicious use of funds

Royal Fathers in Akwa Ibom have commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for judicious application of State resources and leaving enduring legacies for the people.

President General of the Akwa Ibom Traditional Rulers Council, Ntenyin Solomon Etuk made this known yesterday when the royal fathers visited locations of some projects executed by the Emmanuel’s administration in Uyo, Nsit Atai, Ibesikpo Asutan and Uruan Local Councils.

The paramount rulers inspected projects at the Victor Attah International Airport, the Nsit Atai – Okobo dual road project, the 20km Airport Road expansion project, the General Hospital, Ituk Mbang, the International Emergency Response Center and Molecular Laboratory, Ituk Mbang.

Others included the 10-lane ring Road in Uyo, the Anua Mbak Ishiet Road and the 1km flyover at Ikot Oku Ikono, the Sampson Udo Idiong dual carriage way, the International Worship Center and the Dakkada Towers.

At the Victor Attah International Airport Smart Terminal Building almost ready for inauguration, the Commissioner for Special Duties Mr Bassey Okon, and the Project Consultant, Engineer Francis Uwah told the monarchs that the airport was equipped with the best automated and digital facilities found nowhere else in the country.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation, Mr Essien Ndueso, who introduced the monarchs to the respective project sites, intimated the royal fathers that the hospital in Ituk Mbang was among the 13 secondary health care facilities provided by the Governor.

Speaking at the Anua -Mbak -Ishiet road, the Paramount Ruler of Uruan, Edidem Cosmas Nkanga said his people were happy that the campaign slogan of several years have ended in Governor Emmanuel’s tenure.

Speaking with reporters, Etuk said the trip has enabled them to have a first hand knowledge of projects executed by the Government and would help them relate more effectively with their subjects on the good intentions of the administration.
