Potential Striker Boost for Bolton Wanderers Ahead of Play-Offs

By Milcah Tanimu

Bolton Wanderers may receive a significant boost ahead of the play-offs with the potential return of both Dan Nlundulu and Victor Adeboyejo to action.

Nlundulu, the former Southampton striker, has been sidelined since early December due to hamstring surgery, while Adeboyejo faced a similar setback in March but managed to avoid surgery. Both players are now progressing in their recovery, offering promising prospects for Wanderers as they potentially extend their season into the play-offs.

Manager Ian Evatt, cautious not to prematurely discuss the play-offs until automatic promotion is out of reach, acknowledged the potential reinforcement in his striking options at a crucial juncture. He praised Nlundulu’s dedication to rehabilitation, highlighting his impressive physical condition upon returning.

Regarding Adeboyejo, Evatt expressed optimism about his recovery progress, hinting at his potential availability for upcoming games, albeit refraining from explicitly mentioning the play-offs.

However, Evatt emphasized the importance of balancing the team’s needs with player welfare, particularly considering ongoing injury concerns and the need to avoid jeopardizing long-term prospects, including participation in the play-offs.

As Wanderers navigate their remaining fixtures, Evatt reiterated his trust in the medical staff’s expertise, prioritizing player well-being while striving for on-field success.
