2025 Hajj: FCT Muslim Board, NAHCON Synergy For Smoother as 2025 Hajj Excercise Ends

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) will be working together in preparation to provide smooth services for pilgrims safe arrival back home, as they round up the 2025 Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Director of the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Malam Kadiri Edah, made this request when he received officials from NAHCON on a courtesy call at the FCT Pilgrims tent in Mina.

Malam Edah in brief on the exercise said that the FCT pilgrims, have so far successfully participated in all core rites of the Hajj.

The Director appreciated the Commission for its support and expressed gratitude to Allah over the safety of Nigerian pilgrims following a recent fire outbreak at one of the hotels housing some contingents in Makkah. “We are deeply thankful to God that no life was lost in the unfortunate incident,” Edah said, also conveying the Board’s message of solidarity to NAHCON.

In response, leader of the NAHCON delegation commended the FCT Board for its “outstanding coordination and professionalism” in managing their pilgrims throughout the exercise. He praised the Board’s consistent cooperation with the Commission and expressed confidence in their continued partnership.

Both bodies agreed to work in Synergy by maintaining an effective communication channels, especially in logistics, healthcare, and welfare, to better serve Nigerian pilgrims now and in future operations.

The 2025 Hajj is entering its concluding phase, with most pilgrims having completed all major rites, including Arafat, Muzdalifah, and the symbolic stoning of the Jamarat.
