Buji L.G. Commences This Year’s Livestock Vaccination

Buji local governmentovernment council chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Suleiman Yayari has flagged off this year’s annual livestock Vaccination exercise at Buji District, where 60,000 animals were targeted to receive the vaccination across the local government area.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Yayari called on livestock rearers in the local government to take their animals to the Vaccination centers that were provided for the exercise in order to ensure that their herds are vaccinated successfully.

Alhaji Abdullahi Yayari then commended the Jigawa state governor Muhammad Bandar Abubakar for his determination to ensure that annual animal vaccination in the state usually records tremendous success which is another landmark achievements.

In his remark the Head of agriculture Department of the area Alhaji Hassan Abdullahi Jibrin Garkuwa said that ” the vaccination is free of charge and we target yes about 60,000 animals to be vaccinated and in order to ensure that the programme is benefited by the targeted livestock readers, the local government has been divided into 3 centers which are Gantsa, Buji and Yayari Districts respectively”.

Alhaji Hassan Garkuwa announced that enough Vaccinees, drugs and equipments were supplied to each centers in order to cover the whole local government targeted areas, where he commended the herdsmen for their usual cooperation whenever the issue of vaccination starts.

In his speech, the District Head of Buji Alhaji Nuhu Sarki Lamido thanked the LG for the numerous assistance to it’s populace, and called on the herders to always bring out their animals for vaccination where he also commended the chairman and head of agriculture department for their collective efforts to ensure wellbeing livestock across the local government area.
