Paul Mukairu Joins Danish Giants

By Mike Oboh

Fast rising Nigerian striker Paul Mukairu has joined top Danish side FC Copenhagen on a four year deal.

The deal was brockered by Dutch based sports adviser Chika Conleth Akujobi of Jobi Sports and sees 22 year old Mukairu trade the Turkish Super League where he played as a winger and striker for Antalyaspor for the Danish Super Liga.

Akujobi who guided Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo from Sunshine Stars FC to Chelsea FC of England will hope to guide Paul Mukairu on a similar upward trajectory. Mukairu impressed on loan at Anderlecht of Belgium last season and ENglish Championship side Nottingham Forest were close to signing him but the deal fell through before Copenhagen grabbed him.
