1. She Blushes Up A Storm
Shy people don’t have that many tells that give them away, but one of the few they do is when they blush. On average a shy person blushes much more than someone who is outgoing. This is because when the attention is turned on them, especially attention from you, they will get extremely nervous. This makes them blush. They may blush when you tell a joke, complement them or even walk towards them. Whatever the reason may be, they will certainly be blushing up a storm! A shy girl when continue to blush all of the time, until you two get to know each other much better.
This is also something that non-shy girls do, of course. Because when someone develops feelings for another person, they are nervous around them most of the time. But a shy girl will do it more frequently.
2. She Never Initiates Contact
A shy girl who has develop romantic feelings for you will always have a hard time making the first move. This goes for physically, but also goes verbally, too. She will usually wait until you initiate conversation. This is true for both text and in person conversations.
3. She Can’t Maintain Eye Contact
And we don’t mean all of the time. Of course there will be a little bit of eye contact, but we are telling you, when a girl is shy the eye contact will be extremely minimal. A shy person has a hard enough time looking into a friend’s eyes, let alone someone they have a crush on. You might notice that their eyes flicker away from you often while the two of you are having a conversation. This is done to avoid eye contact with you for a prolonged period of time.
Locking eyes may not just make them feel totally uncomfortable, but it will also make them increasingly nervous around you.
As silly as it sounds, they are probably afraid you will get a glance into their heads and figure out what they are thinking.
That’s obviously impossible, but it’s definitely what super shy people think when someone stares into their eyes for too long!
4. She Averts Her Eye
She might focus on everything but you when she is chatting you. She wants to look at you, but it’s hard because she is too shy. Her nervousness will get worse the more she focuses on you and so you may see her looking at something as lame as a lamp in the room or a poster on the wall.
5. She’s All Smiles
Not only will a shy girl who likes you be smiling constantly, she will be smiling for absolutely no reason. You may not understand where the happiness is coming from all of a sudden.
A grin will appear on her face when you arrive and probably stay there until the moment you leave.

Try telling a silly joke. One that does not usually get a lot of laughs. Then measure how much she laughs at it and if it seems sincere.
7. She’s Quiet, But Listening
She might be giggling and smiling a ton, but she definitely won’t be saying much. Shy people don’t usually do much talking, unless they know you very well. Although they are much for conversation, they will be great at active listening! Someone who does not have any interest in you, especially a shy girl, will not take time to listen to what you are saying. They might be polite and give a lot of ‘ mhms ’ and ‘ yeahs’. They will not, however, take the time to actually hear what you are saying.
When a shy girl likes you they will remember every detail that you have told them. They will be interactive with you entirely while you are conversing with them. You will notice they are much more attentive to you than most other people you interact with.
8. She Can’t Stay Still
One definite sign that a shy person likes you, is they will definitely be fidgeting. What kind of fidgeting should you be on the lookout for? Well, there are two different types of fidgeting. So it’s important to keep your eyes peeled for the negative types, just as much as it is important to stay alert to the positive.
Negative signs would include tugging aggressively. They could be tugging at their hair, clothing or something else. You will notice it will be too assertive and almost uncomfortable to watch.
Another negative sign would be if she is biting her nails. Shy people tend to bite their nails when they are put under a lot of pressure. Which means when she is with you she doesn’t feel comfortable, only stressed out.
9. She’s Bold Over Text, Not Face To Face
When she does talk to you over text or social media, she will be much bolder and outspoken than she is when the two of you are talking face to face. She will be much more flirty. Shy people tend to feel more comfortable and secure when they are talking behind a screen. Where as when they are talking to people in person, they get utterly nervous.
