Super Eagles Star Raphael Onyedika Set to Join Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray

By  Milcah   Tanimu

Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika is poised to join Galatasaray, having agreed to personal terms with the Turkish club. This follows Galatasaray’s recent acquisition of Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

Galatasaray, the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions, have been active in the transfer market this summer. Alongside Osimhen, the club has signed Gabriel Sara, Elias Jelert, and Ismail Jakobs as part of their strategy to defend their league title.

Despite these additions, Galatasaray remains keen on bolstering their midfield. According to Sacha Tavolieri, the Turkish club has bid €5 million for Onyedika, but Club Brugge has rejected the offer. The Belgian side, having signed Onyedika from Midtjylland two years ago for €9.5 million, is seeking a substantial profit on his sale.

To secure Onyedika’s transfer, Galatasaray will need to increase their bid significantly, potentially up to €15 million. With Onyedika still under contract with Club Brugge for three more years, negotiations could be challenging.

Galatasaray’s interest in the 23-year-old midfielder remains strong, and the personal terms have been agreed upon. The focus now shifts to reaching a satisfactory agreement with Club Brugge to finalize the transfer.
