10th Senate President’s Cup: Senator Ita Enang Promises Exciting Football Showdown

 

In an eagerly anticipated event, the 10th Senate President’s Cup, themed the “Renewed Hope Edition,” is set to captivate audiences with thrilling football action. Senator Ita Enang, Chairman of the Main Organizing Committee, has pledged a seamless and exciting tournament, expressing his commitment to delivering a premier sporting experience.

At a recent briefing with tournament coordinator John Bassey Ekpeyoung, Senator Enang emphasized his dedication to an impeccably organized event. “I will do everything within my powers to ensure a hitch-free tournament,” he affirmed, underscoring his goal of making this year’s tournament exceptional.

Senator Enang also acknowledged Senate President Godswill Akpabio’s longstanding support for sports, reflecting on Akpabio’s commitment to athletic development since his tenure as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State. “Senator Godswill Akpabio GCON has been a lover and promoter of sports,” Enang noted, recognizing Akpabio’s role in championing unity and growth through sports.

Tournament Coordinator John Bassey Ekpeyoung reported that preparations are on track, with endorsement from key football stakeholders nationwide. He highlighted the collaborative spirit among organizers, aimed at ensuring a successful tournament.

Thirteen teams representing Nigeria’s six geo-political zones are set to compete in this much-anticipated showdown, scheduled from November 10 to 17, 2024, at the iconic Old Parade Ground in Abuja. Football fans can look forward to a week filled with spirited matches, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments.
