Ndidi Livingstone, Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC) in Mgboshimni Community, Rivers State, was fatally shot by gunmen dressed in police uniforms. The assailants, who attempted to kidnap him, later pursued and shot him near a church where he had attended a worship service. Witnesses reported that the gunmen initially drove around the area before returning in a Highlander Jeep. Despite the chaos that ensued, the attackers fled the scene. Livingstone’s family is calling for justice, emphasizing that he was shot by four gunmen in police uniforms armed with AK-47 rifles. The state police command confirmed the incident, with ongoing investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the killing. The Commissioner of Police, Olatunde Disu, has directed tactical units to ensure the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice.
