Gunmen Kidnap Two Members of CEFN Church in Kogi

By Noah Ocheni, Lokoja

Gunmen have abducted two members of the Christian Evangelical Fellowship of Nigeria (CEFN) Church in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The victims, Pastor Friday Adehi and Brother Gabriel Ezekiel, were kidnapped on Sunday while returning home from a naming ceremony. They were riding on a motorcycle along the Ajegwu–Ojodu road when armed men ambushed them and forced them into the bush at gunpoint.

Local vigilantes, working with the military joint task force, have begun a search operation to rescue the victims. Community members are also contributing funds to clear bushes along the Itobe–Anyigba road to help expose criminal hideouts.

In response, the CEFN Church and other Christian groups have declared prayers and fasting for the safety of the abducted members. The Igala Cultural and Development Association (ICDA) and Ukomu Igala have also urged the state government to deploy drone technology to track kidnappers operating
