Ewa’s Thought in Words

Life and its drama. . .

Life is always full of drama whether alone as an individual or with family or friends. Unlike the scripted stage drama, life’s drama is impulsively unscripted, it happens in flips of seconds and becomes a reality. Life’s dramas can be so terrifying sometimes, so much that it might just feel like a bad dream one needs to wake up from, but the fact remains that it’s as real as daybreak.

Life’s drama is consistently characterised by its burdens. No matter how careful you want to be, there is always a struggle thrown at you or created by you. No matter how intelligent you are, there is always some level of foolishness life makes you display. No matter how spiritual you are or want to be, there is always some moments of spiritual dryness that embodies you. The drama of living life is automatic; you engage in it from the very first day you are welcomed to planet earth and declared human.

Life’s drama isn’t always only about  interpersonal relationships but most times also about intrapersonal relationships. The first stage of any human communication
is the one with self. The birth of any idea begins within the individual, he or she must conceive it, discuss it with self, long before he or she starts disseminating or sharing with an external individual or group of individuals. . .Therefore, our openness or disposition to ideas and views determines our actions or inactions and all this is dependent on our intrapersonal relationship which to a very large extent influences our everyday life drama.
Each day comes with its burdens, its joys and challenges…we most times beat ourselves up with what ought to be and not really accepting what is. The ability to accept what is and not what ought to be is what helps us survive life’s many drama with a certain level of ease knowing for sure that nothing lasts forever except memories of the lives led by people who once lived or those of us still alive.

Life’s dramas are the reason living is beautiful though it’s difficult to see that especially when one is neck deep in issues that are constantly threatening their peace each day but without all these issues here and there, would life still be worth striving? There is no doubt we all long for a drama free life I suppose but can the living be without drama? As much as this is totally inevitable because we truly do not have control over other people’s actions or reactions which is why we get entangled sometimes even when the script is not ours to act. . . It’s unavoidably a “waka pass” kind of issue meaning to say we get drawn to it sometimes by association.

The worse of the trending life drama is living a lie.. especially in this era of social media. People tend to be highly lie creative, they seem to package their fantasies into the various social media spaces they soak themselves in the bliss of that moment while they wallow in quiet time through their realities when their object of anaphora is expired as it should because that undoubtedly is the expected end of an illusion.
Let truth then be our guide in life because as bitter as it sometimes may be, it has the capacity to grant us a peaceful conscience and lessen the burden that our hearts may hold resulting from the fear of being exposed. Impressing others will always put one in a place of dissatisfaction and lack of fulfillment because as much as there is an impression you want others to get about you, there is always the real side you are sure hiding and may never want to be discovered by another. . . Truth they say sets us free remember.. choose the truth therefore and be free even as life’s drama is obviously inescapable.
