Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian forward recently signed by Galatasaray on a four-month loan from Napoli, has chosen the number 45 jersey. This decision, according to Nigerian journalist Onyebuchi Onokala, is deeply personal and significant for Osimhen.

The choice of number 45 is symbolic for Osimhen, reflecting his journey and personal beliefs. His first stint in European football with VfL Wolfsburg was challenging, as he struggled to score in 16 appearances. This period of difficulty was followed by a more promising spell on loan at Belgian club Sporting Charleroi.

Osimhen’s selection of the number 45 jersey at Galatasaray is seen as a nod to his perseverance and growth throughout his career. The number holds personal meaning for him and represents a new chapter in his career with the Turkish giants.
