By Milcah Tanimu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State has expressed its joy and appreciation following the victory of Senator Douye Diri and his running mate, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujadkpo, in the recently held gubernatorial election on November 11. Describing the outcome as a significant win for democracy, the party emphasized the triumph of the people’s will in their pursuit of maintaining the state’s trajectory towards peace, growth, and progress.

In an official statement released by the State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Ebiye Ogoli, the PDP conveyed gratitude to various segments of society, including elder statesmen, leaders of thought, politicians across party lines, youths, women, religious and cultural groups, and all citizens who demonstrated unwavering faith and confidence in Governor Diri through their votes.
