Police Interrogate 26 Individuals, Identify “Nurse” and Prime Boy as Main Suspects in Mohbad’s Death

The Lagos State Police Command has revealed that auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe, along with Ibrahim Owoduni (known as Prime Boy) and Ayobami Sadiq, are among the primary suspects in the death of the singer Mohbad. Lagos State Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa made this announcement while briefing the media on the ongoing investigation into the singer’s demise.

According to Owohunwa, the police have questioned 26 people, with five suspects identified, arrested, detained, and interrogated for their alleged roles in the events leading to the singer’s death.

He explained, “Miss Feyisayo Ogedengbe is the auxiliary nurse who was contacted and invited by Ayobami Sadiq, also known as Spending, a friend of Mohbad, on September 11, 2023, to treat the singer at his residence in Lekki, Lagos. She eventually arrived on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, and administered three different injections, which are believed to have triggered the chain of reactions leading to the singer’s death. She is the principal suspect in Mohbad’s death.”

Owohunwa further stated that Feyisayo Ogedengbe admitted that the injections she administered caused the adverse reactions that led to Mohbad’s death. Other expert opinions and witness statements corroborated her admission. Her actions were considered criminally liable as she was not qualified to administer such medications, and she did so in a non-clinical environment in a professionally negligent manner.

The police commissioner also revealed that a fight had occurred between Mohbad and Prime Boy after the singer’s last performance in Ikorodu, Lagos. Owohunwa explained, “After his performance, at about 11 pm, Mohbad discovered that his vehicle was blocked by other vehicles, and some fans and ‘area boys’ mobbed him. Mohbad, who was said to be tipsy and hyperactive, became infuriated and attempted to clear the road, leading to an argument and physical fight between him and Ibrahim (Prime Boy).”

Mohbad had accidentally broken a car window during the altercation, injuring his hand. Despite pleas from his wife and friends, he refused to seek medical attention for the injury.

The police also mentioned that there was evidence linking Naira Marley and Sam Larry to cyberbullying, physical abuse, threats to life, and assault against Mohbad while he was alive.

Owohunwa noted that the investigation files had been sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
